WCSC-TV just released South Carolina State's 2011 schedule and Georgia State will travel to Orangeburg on October 15, 2011.
This is a pretty impressive game as they were in the FCS Playoffs this season. Sounds like a weekend trip to Charleston and then gameday on Saturday.

Um....SC State is in Orangeburg. And they didn't deserve to be in the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. The school is located in Orangeburg but Charleston is a short 75 miles drive south west of campus on I-26.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to whether or not they deserved to be in the FCS Playoffs, that's certainly up for debate but they were co-champions of the MEAC and as the FCS Playoffs continue to expand, there will be more opportunity for teams like SC State and Bethune-Cookman.
I can appreciate what GaState is doing with the program, but to ridicule Georgia Southern Fans for a semi-final playoff loss while boasting about the greatness of the football in the CAA, is pretty low and makes you look really sad and foolish.

ReplyDeleteYep you did. Your minions over at the other place where you are a Super Moderator. We heard all spring how you guys had far superior athletes than the rest of FCS. Then when you didn't slaughter everyone on your schedule, we heard you were still better than the Eagles, then when we went to the playoffs we heard about how basketball was where you would kill us. After we won in basketball, we hear that we are scared to schedule you. Saint and Panama came over to GSUFans.com and stirred everyone up, then went on other FCS boards and made idiotic statements, so I guess they accomplished their goal. PS. Not all publicity is good publicity. The best way to earn respect is to be respectful.
