Worried about Football Attendance? Don't Be

Emptier than we thought Dome got you worried? History says don't worry

As I've continued to maintain, attendance is not necessarily a great indicator of overall interest in our football program, especially in the first year.  Thanks to Bob at Examiner.com (read his work here) for compiling this on other programs that have started up in last 20 years:

-University of South Florida began football in 1997 at the FCS level and finished 5-6. They averaged 33,039 and now play in the Big East. They are our model program (let's just hope CBC doesn't go try to choke someone out in 2022, that's a different story).-University of Central Florida began football in 1979 at the Division III level. They finished 6-2 and averaged 11,227 fans a game. They are now in Conference USA.

-Florida Atlantic University started football in 2001 as an FCS team. They averaged 10,607 fans per game and now play in the Sun Belt.

-UAB began playing in 1991 in Division III and finished 4-3-2 with an average attendance of 4,661. They are also now in Conference USA. We also have their recruiting coordinator in the early years in WR Coach George Pugh.

For those who are overly worried, fear not.  The Movement may take more time, but it's growing.  Keep supporting the team and bring friends.  I'll be bringing 6 people with me tomorrow.  Hopefully you can bring 1 or 2 along with you.
