Women's Basketball Set to Sign #33 Ranked Wing in Country
According to the Franklin News Post, Coach Sheryl Baldwin-Tener and staff just landed a tremendous scorer in Patrick Henry HS (Virginia) Wing Miranda Smith. Smith is likely the highest rated recruit in the history of women's basketball at Georgia State.
She scored 912 points in her Sophomore and Junior seasons. To give you an idea how nuts that is, you typically play 20-22 games per season before playoffs. That's an average of better than 20 points per game for her career at Franklin County HS before transferring to Patrick Henry for her Sr. year.
ESPN Scouts, Inc. rates her as the #33 Wing in the Country.

Women scouting services haven't been around that long and considering her other choice was Norfolk State, I don't think she is all that.
ReplyDeleteWhile I agree about women's recruiting services haven't been around, she had offers from East Carolina, Norfolk State, George Washington University, Dayton, La Salle, Mississippi State, East Tennessee, Longwood, Virginia Commonwealth and James Madison.
ReplyDeleteWe just went to Virginia and took a recruit away from our the 2011 CAA Champion James Madison.
That's impressive. Period.
