What an incredible 3 game stretch. The Panthers drop VCU at home to reach 2-0 in CAA play and 7-5 overall. Great job by Coach Barnes and staff to keep the team focused after the Tourney win in Chattanooga.
Eric Buckner seems to be Nate Williams 2K11. He was absolutely dominant tonight. Josh Micheaux played very well and scored 14 points on 5-8 shooting. Brandon McGee was a force with 9 points, 5 boards off the bench. Marques Johnson seems to be enjoying conference play and will see his playing time increase.
Bench scoring was critical: GSU - 39, VCU - 13.
All wasn't rosey though, Freshman PG Devonta White left the game the ankle injury and will not travel with the team to Wilmington tomorrow for Wednesday's game.
Next Game: Wednesday at UNC-Wilmington at 7pm.
