Why is this big news to Georgia State? Another potential CAA foe is jumping ship. Northeastern and Hofstra have ended their programs, Rhode Island has dropped down to the NEC and now UMASS is jumping FBS to the MAC. There are rumblings about Maine and New Hampshire looking around and possibly following Rhode Island's lead.
CAA football will add Old Dominion this Fall and we'll join as football playing members in 2012.
The question remains: How many teams will be there to greet us?
