Women's Basketball: Athletics Not Spending Enough to Compete

According to figures from the U.S. Department of Education, UNCW spent $859,965 for women's basketball during the 2008-09 year.

Only two other conference schools, Georgia State ($909,823) and Towson ($970,111), had expenses under $1 million. Old Dominion spent the most at $1,898,709.

Bottom line: Until we spend the money on women's basketball we will never in the competitive elite in the CAA. It's not the coaching, it's the cash.
