More good work by Rich Radford of the Virginian-Pilot:
If UMass bolts, expect New Hampshire to do likewise right on the Minutemen's heels. They just won't be hopping to the same conference, but they'll be leaving the CAA as yet another natural rival departs. With Hofstra and Northeastern cancelling their programs last season, if UMass goes, why would UNH stay? And it's all but a done deal that Rhode Island is bolting the league in 2013.

Virginian-Pilot: Expect some changes in CAA football's future
From the well duh department: "As a football conference, the Colonial Athletic Association will look different in the coming years."
Rich Radford makes the case for Charlotte (which would be good for us in the short term and likely keep us in the South) to join the CAA as a football only member.
