ESPN Scouts, Inc. has confirmed that Buckner has given his pledge to Georgia State for the 2010-11 season. He currently averages 9.7 ppg and 5.7 rebs per contest. He had plenty of high major offers as LSU, Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri.
He'll need some weight but we certainly can use his size. We desperately needed size with all but one of our inside players exhausting their eligibility this offseason. Buckner will start from the day he steps on campus.
